closecash released his first mixtape, “Smooth Sailings” in January of 2012 under the name of Alovett. After taking a break from rapping and learning to produce, he released his first self-produced project, “Neck of the Woods (Part One)”, in November of 2017. In the early summer of 2018, closecash relocated to Philadelphia, PA. He first had his taste of the Philly nightlife via hosting parties with his friends off of Temple University’s campus. With music always at the forefront, closecash began to hit up local shows. After meeting Hashland at an iffe Lifted show at Kung Fu Necktie, he became fully immersed in the Philadelphia music scene. closecash shortly followed with the release of his first album, “4:08”, on May 30th, 2019. closecash tributes his singing influences to the likes of Michael Jackson, Justin Timberlake, T-Pain, Kid Cudi, The Weeknd, and Travis Scott. He also tributes his rapping influences to the likes of Lil Wayne, Kanye West, Drake, Big Sean, and A$AP Rocky.
